This is a pack of 160 tiny, really powerful (for their size), neodymium, "rare earth" magnets. This type is about 10 times more powerful than traditional ferrite or ceramic magnets. This size is used mainly for attaching parts to small models. One magnet to another has a pull of around 70 grams.
Dimensions: 2mm diameter and 1mm thick. They are heavily nickel plated for durability.
In spite of being so tiny, a single magnet can just succeed in holding an A4 sheet of paper from sliding down a refrigerator door.
The neodymium magnet strength rating is N52, the highest available. Most magnets sold in NZ are N35, which is significantly weaker.
Possible uses include:
- Attaching miniature figures and components together.
- Closures for small boxes.
- Holding small items, such as photos, for display.
- Making kinetic art sculptures.
There are hundreds of uses for super strong magnets, limited only by one's imagination! The more you use them, the more uses you find.
Warnings:
- Keep away from small children because if two are swallowed they can cause serious harm.
- Keep them few mm away from magnetic or electronic devices such as memory cards, tapes, bank card, etc.
