This is a pack of 36 amazingly powerful neodymium, "rare earth" magnets, with durable nickel plating. (Note: Sorry, temporary old photo shows 50, not 36.)
Dimensions: 10mm diameter x 1.5mm thick. The strength rating is N45. Most magnets sold in NZ are N35, which is significantly weaker. And N50 is rather brittle.
Neodymium magnets are about 10 times more powerful than traditional ferrite ones.
This size is great for fridge/whiteboard magnets when you want them difficult to remove. (For very strong, but easy to grip ones, use our D6x6mm magnets in pairs or even threes.)
They are also a great size for school kid's art, science, and construction projects because they are robust, strong, and not as dangerous as the larger sizes we sell. They can be stacked to make significantly stronger configurations. For even more strength, consider our D12x2mm or D15x2mm.
Other possible uses include:
