This is a pack of twenty amazingly powerful neodymium "rare earth" magnets, with durable nickel plating.
Dimensions: 12mm diameter x 2mm thick. The strength rating is N45. Most magnets sold in NZ are N35, which is significantly weaker.
Neodymium magnets are about 10 times more powerful than traditional ferrite magnets.
Although these magnets are so small, two of them pull together (or to smooth, thickish steel) with a direct pull of over 1.6 kg. And between TWO plates of steel, a single magnet pulls with an incredible 6 kg!
They are great for school kid's art, science, and construction projects when extra pulling power is required. For less pull, try our Diameter 10 x 1.5 mm ones.
